Mission, vision, and objectives
- We wish to empower, support, and celebrate Indian women living in Germany by fostering a vibrant community rooted in cultural heritage, social inclusion, and mutual growth.
- We are committed to providing a platform that promotes personal and professional development, advocates for gender equality, and nurtures the rich traditions of India while facilitating seamless integration into German society.
- Through education, cultural exchange, and collective action, we strive to inspire confidence, unity, and resilience among Indian women, enabling them to thrive and contribute meaningfully to both their communities in Germany and back home.
History and background
- The Indian Women Association Germany e.V. (IWAG) was founded in 2024 by a group of Indian women living in Germany, united by a shared desire to create a supportive community for Indian women navigating life abroad.
- Recognizing the cultural, social, and professional challenges faced by Indian women in a foreign country, the founders established IWAG as a platform to foster solidarity, empowerment, and cultural exchange.
